This Privacy Policy explains how Quantum Edge AI (“QEdge”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our trading journal and AI coaching platform (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: email address, username, and authentication data managed through our identity provider (Supabase Auth).
  • Profile information: trading style, market focus, experience level, and starting account balance that you provide.
  • Trade journal data: trade details you enter manually (symbol, direction, entry/exit prices, risk parameters, psychology notes, outcomes) and trade history imported from connected brokers.
  • Broker connection data: OAuth tokens or API credentials for connected platforms (e.g. MetaApi, cTrader, SnapTrade, TradeLocker), used solely to retrieve your trade history.
  • Media uploads: chart screenshots you attach to journal entries, stored in private cloud storage.
  • Usage data: basic technical information such as log data, device and browser type, and how you interact with the Service, used to maintain and improve it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain your trade journal, dashboard, and reports;
  • Generate AI-powered trade analysis and performance reports on your behalf;
  • Sync trade history from connected broker accounts;
  • Secure your account and protect against fraud or abuse;
  • Communicate with you about your account or material changes to the Service;
  • Diagnose technical issues and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI Processing

To generate trade analysis, coaching commentary, and performance reports, relevant portions of your trade and journal data (such as entry reasoning, risk parameters, and outcomes) are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. This data is used to generate your analysis and is handled under OpenAI's API data-use terms, which do not use API-submitted data to train their models. We do not send your account credentials or broker authentication tokens to AI providers.

4. Broker & Trading Account Connections

When you connect a broker or trading platform, we store the access tokens or credentials required to retrieve your trade history in encrypted form. These credentials are used only to fetch your closed trade history on your behalf (or, for providers that support it, to receive trade execution notifications). We do not use these connections to place trades or move funds. You can revoke a broker connection at any time, which removes our access to that account.

If you delete a synced trade, we record that exclusion so the same trade is not re-imported on a future sync.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Supabase (PostgreSQL database, authentication, and file storage) and the Service is hosted on Vercel. Database access is protected with row-level security so that you can only access your own data. Chart screenshots and other media are stored in private storage buckets and served only via temporary signed URLs. While we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

6. Sharing of Information

We share information only with the service providers (“sub-processors”) necessary to operate QEdge, including our hosting provider (Vercel), database and storage provider (Supabase), AI provider (OpenAI), and the broker/trading platforms you choose to connect. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of QEdge or our users.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and journal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal or legitimate business purposes (e.g. fraud prevention, dispute resolution).

8. Your Rights & Choices

You can access, update, or delete most of your information directly from your account settings and journal. You may also contact us to request a copy of your data, request deletion of your account, or ask questions about how your information is processed.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. International Users

Our infrastructure providers may process and store data in regions outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing of your information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
